Mega Death Sauce: Part I

The bottle of stuff that almost killed us

This is how much sauce we put in the first lot of Taco mix. Doesn't loom like much does it?

The first bite. After about 10 seconds, my mate here was saying that it wasn't that hot. Another 10 seconds later he was saying that it was creeping. Another 10 seconds in and full heat had hit... or so we thought. this sauce takes a minute or two to get up to full working capacity. It was really hot. We had put in a half a teaspoon to about 4 tacos worth of mince.

We weren't here to muck around so we went a little nuts.

You can't really tell here but this is around 2 teaspoons to 2 tacos so we upped the stakes in a big way for the next tasting.

The death Taco. Simple but effective.

Although these next shots look slightly staged I can assure you they are not. We were in serious pain. I can barely remember calling for someone to dial an ambulance. I just wanted it to stop. The heat was all in my face and it just wouldn't quit. This was the hottest food I have had, ever.

My buddy gets the full brunt of the death sauce.

At this point I wanted to die.

My buddy here never looks worried and shit doesn't hurt him. This is his ultimate pain face. I've seen this man cut his achilles tendon on a mirror and then go out moshing all night (stopping every now and again to empty blood from his Docs) I have also seen him walk 2 kilometres on a broken leg to get to his own birthday party without even cracking a grimace. He then walked himself in to the hospital the next day to get an x-ray. The doctor was calling him a liar for saying his leg might be broken. The doc later apologised when he looked at the x-ray. This man feels no pain. Until now... this sauce is fucking hot.

I never want to do that again. I want to do that again right now. I guess chili must be like any drug out there but chasing the chili dragon leaves you with a burnt tail. Really, really burnt.
